There was a problem on our end. It has been fixed now. In fact I think you now have one Twitter account too many in your activity stream. You can go and remove the extra one on the Manage My Site > Services & Feeds link.

It depends on what you mean by "safety". We use SSL for pages that transfer "sensitive" data (such as passwords). We store passwords in an encrypted form. We do not store credit card information if you convert to a paid domain. We have regular, automatic back ups, and you can export your data at any time. You can also delete your account at any time if you're concerned about security or any other issues.

The easiest thing to do is to just remove the Twitter service subscription. The other alternative is to put it in a persona that is not public, which will keep the service subscription but only make it visible to contacts who can see that persona.

We're aware of the issue and have restarted some of our server processes to attempt to get the queue back up to speed. So far I'm still not seeing new activity entries in my site, so the queue is probably still backed up. We'll continue monitoring and hopefully get everything back up to speed by tomorrow.

Amazingly enough that typo has been in there from day 1 and you're the first to notice it. :-)

A comment on the question "how often are rss feeds updating?" in chi.mp:

It's unlikely that we'll do hourly updates of feeds for a while. We're working on reducing the latency between when content is published to feeds and when we update sites with it, but we have some distance to cover still. – Anthony Eden, on September 23, 2009 01:26
